Dear Hello Pal user,
We’ve got some very exciting news to share with you – we will be implementing blockchain technology into Hello Pal, and very soon you will have a digital wallet within Hello Pal, which you can use for depositing and receiving digital currencies like Bitcoin!
Some of you may have heard of the term “blockchain,” but most of you would probably be more familiar with the term “Bitcoin,” even if you’ve never really come across it or used it before. Very simply put, Bitcoin is a digital currency that is used just like money by many people to pay for goods and services. Because it is built using blockchain technology, it is ‘decentralized,’ which means it is not controlled by any government, company, or entity.
It has picked up in popularity tremendously over the past couple of years. Two years ago, 1 Bitcoin was worth about $600. 1 year ago, it was already $2,500. Today, 1 Bitcoin is worth $6,700, having nearly reached $20,000 at one point.

Hello Pal’s Blockchain Transformation
We recently made a corporate announcement that our we will be partnering with the Yitang group to incorporate blockchain technology into the Hello Pal platform. Many changes will be coming over time as a part of this transformation, but here are some of the things it will mean for you as a user:
- You participate, you benefit
The more you participate in the Hello Pal platform and contribute to its growth, the more you will be rewarded by the platform
- Help and be Rewarded
Get rewarded by other users who you help, and easily reward others who help you.
- Power to You
Over time, the direction that Hello Pal takes will be increasingly decided by you the user.
The Hello Pal Wallet
One of the first changes you will see as part of this blockchain transformation is the digital wallet, which we hope to launch sometime next month in July 2018, as part of the Hello Pal app (Travel Pal and Language Pal will be updated with this soon after).
If you have Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, you can choose to deposit them into your Hello Pal wallet and use it to pay other users.
We will be launching many new features in the near future that may require you to send or receive money to and from other users, but there’s nothing to stop you from doing it now if you want!
Do also keep an eye out for our ‘Free Bitcoin Giveaway’ coming soon!
